Hello guys,

I've seen this message again and again over the last couple of years, but I've never stopped to ask about it.. that is, until now. I recently flew DVA4125-2 KSLC/KPHX. The posted T/O time is 0948 MT, with a landing at 1028 Arizona/PT, making this a 1h40 flight. I flew the flight in 1h29, but my PIREP still shows the flight as outside schedule guidelines. Can anyone tell me what this is about?

TIA,
Gary

It is something you don't need to worry about. That is based on scheduled times - for instance, if you fly from Washington DC to New York - and the scheduled time is 47 minutes....well you start the ACARS flight and sit in the taxi line for 20 minutes, then get diverted or hold for another 20 minutes on VATSIM or you didn't go as fast - or you went fast - your time will be different. Nothing to worry about when we approve flights.

The only time it would really raise an eyebrow if if you logged 4 hours on a 1 hour flight - something grossly out of place

Thanks Andy!! smile I appreciate the explanation. I was afraid one of these days I was going to find I had a flight rejected for that reason, and that particular flight was one of my better landings, so seeing it deleted was a concern. Thanks again for putting that concern to rest.

All the best,
Gary

PS The L1011 default siggy is one of the best! Thanks to whomever created it. wink
