What would it take to get an airline ts server up? I know we have one for the Flight Academy, but what about one for general disscussion? A lot of other airlines operate almost only on TS. I know we can talk via ACARS, but comeing onto a TS server with different channels you can hang out in if a lot more usefull.

It would probably just be a matter of setting up a room in our current TS server so we didn't have to rent a whole new one.

Delta Virtual already has a TeamSpeak server. We use it for staff matters and the Flight Academy. We do not have any plans to expand its usage at present time.

Cheers!

Right, which is why I wanted to create a general discussion TS server, so we can keep pilots and the trainees and staff members in a seperate server.

From what I understand, you can do anything you want as a private citizen, but it won't be sponsored by DVA. And DVA may have advertising restrictions for it. But no one can stop you from doing your own thing.

Unfortunately, given the number of instances of violation of Delta Virtual's policies in logged ACARS chat, we do not feel comfortable that we could provide live voice services while maintaining the atmosphere and standards of our organization in a medium like TeamSpeak which is unmoderated and unrecorded. Our decision not to provide general voice rooms is not a technical one (we could certainly do it right now), but a policy decision.

Unfortunately, we also cannot allow others to associate the Delta Virtual name with their own services. You're welcome to host your own TS server, but not associate it with Delta Virtual.

Cheers!

Luke, thank you for clearing that for me.

I'm going to set up a TS server for anyone interested, It will be a general Online Flightsim Voice Community. I will give the IP and port number after I get the server set up.

Ok, the basic server is up. It is still heavily under contruction, and is only a freeware server.

I am currently the only one who is moderating and administrating the server; however, more administration will be given to people I trust. If enough interest is shown in this, I will personally purchase a server for 24/7 use, right now though, I will try to keep the server up as much as possible.

The IP is 67.241.24.173:8767

Hop on and pitch in ideas for more channels as right now there is only a general discussion channel

See you online
