Hi,
I have only flown one event online, I have noticed that on the sign up page it reads for example, 28 Pilots, 14 Expected Turnout.
How is the expected turnout calculated?

Thanks,
Jorge Rojas

Every pilot has a percentage chance of showing up. If I've flown 50 out of 100 group flights I've signed up for I'd have a 50% chance of showing up. With all of the pilots added up it's just an average of those percentages.

If a group turnout average is say 50% and there are 10 people listed, you can expect about 5 of them to show up.

The bad part is when you sign up for an event and the number expected doesn't go up. smile

Was my first special event flight and couldnt even connect to vatsim. However, I still flew it through ACARS, offline.
Wouldve been more fun online Im sure. Maybe next time. Anyways that was a good question I was wondering the same thing.

So if I haven't done an event, and signed up for my first one, would my expected turnout be 100%?

Regards, smile

Np - if you have done less than 2 events you're assumed to have a 40% chance of turning out.

Cheers!
