In case you're wondering about POSKY's new 757, I got a first cut of the new 757 installer done today and shot this picture at KSEA. It's a Radeon 9600 Pro, 1024x768x32 at 8x AA and 4x AF.

I now need to test the virtual cockpit and see how that works, with and without the Lonny Payne panel. Anyone notice that the annunciator messages are messed up in FS2004?

Cheers!

Luke

OK, the virtual cockpit works too - but seems to drop around 1-3 fps on my machine (Athlon XP 1700, 512MB, 9600Pro). The whole package seems to make FS2004 swap like crazy; I'll need to figure out if the IFDG model did this to the same extent. I've also added some of Chris Dittmar's load stations to the aircraft.cfg to make things marginally more flexible and realistic.

To be entirely honest folks, if the POSKY 757 is going to be pretty unusable on even mid-range systems I might stick with the IFDG model, since we also get two extra liveries, or I might have them side by side. It's too soon to say yet, but does anyone have any experience running the POSKY 757 on what I would define a "mid-range" system (1-1.6 Ghz, GF4MX/2Ti, 256MB RAM).

Cheers!

Luke

Luke,
I have Athlon 2000, 512DDR, Geforce4 MX440 with 128DDR, and I can see a few frames less with POSKY model with VC.

My system is pretty fast, but I still highly recommend making this model available as well. I suggest seperate installers as well, making note in the download area for downloaders to download iFDG for mid range systems and POSKY for high range systems.

My system cooks, so I have no idea how this baby runs on lower range systems. Considering I am such a hardcore Simmer that I have dedicated my computer to FS performance LOL.

The iFDG model is excellent too and I have nothing bad to say about it. The advantage of POSKY's model is for those who are hardcore VC flyers such as myself. I am trying to work on a way to get some clickable controls in the VC besides the Autopilot. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

So far, however, it isnt looking good because I have no idea whatsoever as to how to get coordinates from the VC for the guages to place.

if anyone has any idea how to do this, PLEASE send me an email at cndittmar@dark-haven.org I would be greatly appreciative and honored. Luke, if I figure this panel system out, I'll improve it even more and get you an updated version :-)

Chris
