I have just returned after quite some time away from DVA and FSX. I signed up for the Flight Academy to get some proper instruction after this time away and my status is still at "Pending" after 2 weeks. Is the Flight Academy no longer used?

Steve i think that its just that theres a long list of whoms waiting, the academy have always been busy.
You must have FS9, and another cockpit sharing app (dont remember name) inorder to take lessons, so if your FSX only then you cant take lessons now
(that was a year ago, they might have included FSX by now)
Contact Scott Clarke for more info.

Cheers !

The Flight Academy is in revision.

The full compliment of what will happen, and what the requirements will be are in the works and will be published as soon as ALL the work is done. It is a long process, and with a limited number of instructors now, and the course in revision - there is some patience needed. There are folks that have been waiting much more than two weeks - so if you want to get ahead, learn to really fly your primary aircraft, or the EMB120 / Learn flight rules / Learn procedures - and practice precision and proper techniques (altitudes, climbs, fuel planning, navigation using more than autopilot (VORs, NDBs, etc.)

And trust me - when the new academy procedures/policies/etc are released, it will have been well worth the wait.

(Sorry Scott if I stole your thunder)

Thanks Andrew, think I'll take my tour through it when its up and running again. You stop learning in aviation then you need to just stop. Would love to go back to step one and redo everything and see just how many bad habits I DO have.

Thanks for all you guys do over in that department.
