Fellow Pilots,

I've searched thru the threads but I can't find where it says what programs or type rating I need to have to fly the 787? Help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The 787 is not available to fly at DVA. Once it is in service and Delta or its codeshares begins flying it, we will probably see it added to the system.

Thanks Kyle,

I downloaded the 787 from DVA so I just figured it could be used for flights... No problem, thanks!

Being that the 787 is a wide body aircraft, my guess is when it fully becomes active it will become a Stage 4. Will DVA have a separate program? my guess would be yes if Delta decides to have such a program created in the real world, if not, my guess is it will fall under the 777 rating. Again this is all speculation, we just have to wait things out smile as of now though being that it is not in service (meaning no deliveries have been made) we are unable to file pireps with that particular aircraft. However I would recommend downloading and installing the fleet aircraft, so that when the time comes you will be ready to go for the rating. I would hold off on purchasing any payware models of the plane. Remember there is nothing wrong with being a "test" pilot smile
