Um, just saw that AAL flights are available out of LAX (mostly west coast) ERJ-145's.

I haven't been flying much (been spending my hours flying actual planes, at 38.5 hours and almost to checkride), but what happened? What did I miss? Searched the forums for "American" but didn't see anything.

Neither, you fly with an MQ callsign on VATSIM but file on ACARS under AA or just sub in a DL airplane on the route change it to a DL flight number and fly as DVA cool

It is a leftover from the American Airlines acquisition of Reno Air way back when smile They are all officially American Eagle flights not American Airlines, though, as Mike pointed out.

For those of you wanting ultra realism, the "callsign" for American Eagle is "Eagle Flight" The flights are flown under the AA call letters however, as American Eagle is a wholly owned Subsidiary of AMR Corporation, The Parent company of American Airlines smile

Won't happen unless one airline gets into the other airline's alliance which will probably never ever happen.

I thought they were EGF, not AAL.

Yes, they are American Eagle but fly under AAL flight numbers.....regardless, they are code shares.

They can't be Eagle flight, use the "Eagle Flight" callsign, but then file as AAL. Its either AAL (American) or EGF (EagleFlight).

Just a quick glance at flightaware this morning, leads me to believe its EGF they file under. But, all I see to the destinations in our schedule are E135's.

They file under EGF "Eagle Flight", They fly 135's out of Asheville now and thats what ATC calls them. Just like how ASA is a Delta regional carrier but still file under the "Acey" callsign.
