I got a HP all in one Pavilion for my birthday and problems after problems with this and flight sim/Microsoft Flight Sim X.
Both HP and Microsoft both agree there is issues on this and for me to "LOOK FOR UPDATES" according to Microsoft. Well so much for that. My question is this, can you downgrade 10 to 7 so I can use vPilot and acars? My computer freezes and even my new second screen goes black when I go the the airport...........any help pls......this is killing me not talking to atc and just flying.
thanks.........Patrick

Patrick, you might want to disable all antivirus and antimalware before installing. Install ACARS, vPilot, etc. as Administrator in WIN10 so they have the correct privileges to read and write files in Win10. Hope this works for you.

Windows 10 works fine with FSX, using it for months with no issues. Perhaps if you describe the problem we can help.

The issue of the second screen going black...... are you running in FULLSCREEN mode. This can do what you describe...... As for the other software, they MUST be run in ADMINISTRATOR mode in order to function correctly......

Ever since I went from windows 7 to 10 I've had problems with FS. I've now unloaded and reloaded FS and it won't even show up in games. I have to go into the drive and see that all the files are there, but I can't find the icon to load the game. Anyone got any ideas.

You can of course format the hard drive and install a new copy of Windows 7 (~$130) on it...

I went from Windows 7 to 10 a couple months ago and FSX-SE runs terrible when I'm at or around any airport. It doesn't matter what size or whether or not it's an addon. For instance, I am currently doing a flight from KMSP to KDTW using the DVA 757-200. On the ground during pre-flight the stuttering was terrible while clicking on anything in the cockpit. It would freeze while configuring the flaps and during the V-speed callouts. I have read many forums concerning this issue and there really is no fix for it to my knowledge, if you have the problem. There are lots of suggestions but none have worked for me. X-Plane 10 runs mint on my rig. I haven't tried FS2004 since going to Windows 10. I also tried my boxed version of FSX and it runs worse the SE version. FSX-SE running well isn't worth going back to Windows 10 as far as I'm concerned. I just live with it and hope I don't crash on landing due to the stuttering.

Hi guys. I am in the process of setting up a new computer. Instead of installing my FSX Gold, I am toying with x-plane. This is the new computer: CybertronPC Rhodium RX-460E Gaming PC - AMD FX-4300 3.80GHz, 8GB DDR3, Radeon RX-460, 1TB HDD, Windows 10. When I decide which sim, is it still good to install it directly to the c:/ drive and not in the programs folder?

I echo all the rest of the replies: I've run FSX Windows XP, 7, 8, and 10. As we all know, FSX can be a ... pesky child ... at times; however, I was able to get it working well on all systems. In fact, my experience with Windows 10 has been the best so far.

Perhaps if you explain your issues, one of us can assist you. The black screen sounds you may have full screen mode enabled. Try pressing ALT+ENTER to toggle between full screen and windowed mode.

Thanks Tyler. Actually I just got FSX Gold installed and the only issue was that Windows 10 wouldn't give the page for the product code insertion for acceleration pack. So i was limited to 30 min flights. Tonight I got that solved and so far the few flights I have done seem to have FSX working fine. Now my next step is to put the system under some stress to see how it is going to work get acars installed and working and get a few Delta download aircraft before I come off my LOA.
