I've stumbled upon this in the forums, but now have experienced it myself. I've updated both the PMDG 777/737 options files with the line at bottom to enable data broadcast. I have tried turning autosave off, and setting the autosave frequency sliders as far right as possible. None of this has worked....it never fails that on descent into my destination both products begin to "lug" or "stutter". Every few seconds FSX says "Not Responding" and the computer slowly grinds to a halt. So much so that the only fix I've found is quitting FSX and recovering my flight with ACARS, thoroughly negating the existence of FS2Crew. I love this VA, and I truly appreciate all of the hard work put into it, but currently I'm frustrated that I haven't been able to remedy this problem. Any help, as always is much appreciated.

Does it only occur with ACARS running? How long a flight?

Cheers!

Are you using Windows 10? I had the same issue of stuttering and I traced it to Microsoft's "Windows Error Reporting Service". I had shut it off when I got my new machine but a recent upgdate last week brought WER back and with it the stuttering and 'Not Responding" issue. Just a wild guess.

Luke,
It only occurs with ACARS. It doesnt matter how long of a flight. I rechecked ACARS today and discovered I did not have autosave turned off. Flew from Beirut to Paris in the PMDG 777 with zero stutters. FS2Crew and PRO-ATC/X were also running along with ActiveSky Next. This is okay, but it doesn't buy me any protection if Windows crashes. Tim, I'll try the WER along with re-enabling the autosave feature.

You should be able to set a long autosave interval for the 777X.

Cheers!
