This this problem was partially partially brought up in a non-technical channel but remains unsolved. I have been using ACARS for almost every flight. Installed Windows 10 and ACARS worked fine. Then Windows 10 updated. ACARS now works fine during flight but now when I want to look at a saved ACARS file windows says it doesn't know how to open the files. (Worked fine in Windows 7 and before the update). The data is off line and saved to my documents in an ACARS directory. Now each flight is saved as two files - a *.sha and *.xml where * = ACARS number. Will appreciate any ideas.

They're just text files. You can view them with notepad or textpad.

Thanks for interest. I've solved problem - it was the browser which automatically opened the zip file before saving.
