I had to replace my system drive last night. I got Win7 Pro installed, okay. I am only having 2 problems. Windows update is giving me problems not wanting to download updates. But the big problems is Bios sees my Data Drive, Devise Manager sees my data drive, but "My Computer" does not. I have done everything I can think of does anyone have any suggestions?

Okay, some how when I installed Win7 because I had left my Data drive plugged in Win7 decided to extend to the second drive. I unplugged the second drive last night and reinstalled Win7. It seems to be working now. Now comes the long reinstall.

You didn't say why you had to replace it but did you not have a backup? I use Acronis and there are tools to restore drives across different OS's or disk signatures.

The drive was starting to fail. This is a a computer I was given when my old was fried by a lighting strike. I did not have back-ups. I'm slowly bringing every back up.
