Picking up my new system today. I56600k,16g ddr4,gtx1070,500gssd. I have fsx boxed version,will this run on windows 10 or should i purchase steam or another version? Im worried about windows 10 issues with the boxed version? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Happy holidays to you all and your families.

I would say get FSX: Steam if you are able to. I run it on Windows 10 and it doesn't have the issues I had on FSX boxed. There may be people who have gotten boxed to work fine, but for me it was too unstable.

Congrats on the new system ! Why not take this opportunity (having to install from scratch) to upgrade to Prepar3D ? Your rig can easily handle P3D v3 and you will never look back once things are set up.

I haven't had any issues with FSX (boxed) running on windows 10. Give it a try. P3Dv3 is awesome!

Yeah my boxed became unusable. I tried to repair then the dreaded error 1127 showed up and I couldn't reactivate it. I heard all good things about FSX;SE so i just got it yesterday. So far installing a communication system is my only problem.

Vpilot works very well with Windows 10 and FSX:SE.
