I reinstalled FSX Accel to fix some bugs and got the "The MSXML4 SP2 component is not installed. Please reinstall Flight Simulator to restore or repair this missing component." message. Running as administrator, I tried all the methods of installing, restarting, reinstalling, deleting the components to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks Luke. I've tried that method several times to no avail. I've extracted the files to the System32 folder as noted. I tried to get the files to resister and that procedure failed too. I'm mainly just venting because I'm shut down: both FS9 and FSX installations are down now.

Jim, I had a surprisingly hard time reinstalling fsx gold edition after a FSX corrupted file error occurred,
I deleted FSX from the control panel and then tried to load FSX it from the
installation disks. Do not do that. What helped me was to do everything from the disk commands on the installation disks.
You want FSX to do the deinstallation and installation.
It was frustrating but it works now. It took a couple to tries and I lost a day or two on that problem.

Eh...too late Clarence. I just used the control panel uninstall and will try from scratch again. The frustrating thing at this point is the stupid XML parser. I think I'm following the install instructions correctly but FSX still flags the .dll as not being installed.
Hmmm...maybe it's time to move onto P3D...
