After upgrading from windows XP to windows 10 fresh clean installed, now after installing FS9 will open then close after few seconds.

you need to remove KB3086255 windows update this killed the process

you should have multiple kb updates click hidden to see a list.

I checked again and had only one. This morning I got 3 because MS pushed two more updates. Now it opens and hang on the window as first install the flight simulator. Question you running windows 10.

Tried Everything but the Kitchen Sink and still no luck ! Thanks for all your help if you come across with other solution let me know. Aircraft are grounded for now. frown

Technically it should NOT work in win10... the update affected it under 7 but its not part of 10 or is built in as part of the OS and not removable; not very clear on which way it is.

Some people have managed to run it in compatibility mode but that's a can of worms. Should have went with 7. 10 is honestly based on win8 and its a hackjob for tablets and other irrelevant things that gamers don't need (but ms doesn't care, they are pushing XBOX as the game platform)

Indeed so. General rule is if something ran under XP it will run under 7.

Chris, thanks! I got FS9 running on windows 10 so far only small problem with PSS 757 and 777 gauges not working PMDG after reinstalling no problems Feelthere ERJ-145 also good.

Got the problem resolved on windows 10 I bought the PSS757 from Blackbox Simulation (small fee better than replacing Windows10) and got fixed for both the PSS B-757 and the PSS B-777 now I got two B-757 PSS and JFPSS B-757. Thanks, For all the help !

But its removable and easily fixable. said update appears to be an integral part of 10 and non removable.

I need help with level D FS9 all working fine with the exception got the Nav Data updated to the current circle working fine but when I tuned the Ils frequency nothing happen no problem with navigation sids or stars (frequency selection on the pedestal)
