Hi everyone!

I'm getting back in the Flight-sim game after several years off and gradually adding back the custom stuff I used to use. I remember back in the day, I had been running a program that would automatically capture screenshots in the background and save them to a folder. Anybody have any recommendations of things like that you find useful? I found one, but it doesn't take the correct shot, and it always toggles away from my FS screen asking me what to do. I want it to just be recording them as I go. Does that make sense?

Hi Colin,

I use snapper: http://www.michielovertoom.com/software/snapper/

very easy to use with every button on the keyboard you want. It works in the background and you can decide if you want text overlay or not.

I use SnagIt from a company named TechSmith. It's payware but relatively inexpensive.

I use puush. It's free and works fairly well for my extremely basic usage. http://puush.me/

I don't have any experience with the other programs mentioned here, so maybe this is common, but what I really like about my program is that it takes the screenshot and then, once it's uploaded, automatically puts a link to the picture in my clipboard so I can just Ctrl+V to share it with someone. And (this may also be standard) it also allows me to just drag a box on my screen to take a cropped snapshot, rather than a full window, if I want. My one and only complaint with it, and I'm pretty sure this is an FS issue not the screenshot program, is that when I'm in FS (and only FS, so far), the basic PrtScrn hotkey doesn't work. But I think it's just a matter of something in FS capturing that keystroke and needing to unbind the key; I've just been too lazy to look into it.
