Hi guys!

First let me say I've been here about a month but really have just gotten into flying for this VA this past week and I think the ranking/program system is refreshing.

I passed my CRJ add-on test with flying colors and am ready to do the check ride. Reading the handbook it says we need to be assigned a checkride, is that still true? Or can we pick any flight and mark it as a checkride in ACARS?

If the former, are we notified by email? I like to continue my flights from the last destination so I hope it's something on the CRJ out of SLC!

Thanks,
Sean

Hi Sean and welcome! Very happy you're a part of our fine group of flight simulator enthusiasts!

Once you reach captain by completed 10 valid flights in the 737, take and pass the captain's test, and pass the 737 checkride, you'll be eligible to request additional ratings or transfer to the 727 program...uh....another program up or down one stage. smile

You have 6 flights so far. Be sure to use ACARS, fly about 200 miles or longer, and do not use time acceleration. Then, you can go in the Go to the Pilot Center and there will be an option to take the captain's exam. Then you will be assigned the 737 check ride.

Once you pass, you can request additional ratings via the Pilot Center and you're on your way!
