I usually do this when my joystick stops working in the middle of the flight. I save the flight I'm currently in and restart FSX. I go to the load menu, open the saved flight, and wait just to find out that there's no display at all. Not even a black screen. The sound works which tells me that FSX is running. I keep doing this over and over, but in the end, I have to start the flight all over. How do I stop this?

I believe this is a bug with FSX. I've had it happen to me multiple times. It has a lot of trouble loading a flight after restarting. I do not know of any fix currently, but I hope someone can figure it out.

In terms of your joystick not working, it might be because Windows suspends USB connections that it deems inactive. You can change this in your Power Options by changing USB Selective Suspend to Disabled. I can show you how if you want, although you can definitely Google it.

Tried that. It didn't work.

Ok, it looks like it works on all my aircraft except the ifly B747. It happens within 5 minutes for some reason. Btw, I have a brand new joystick that works just fine.
