DVACARS SID/STAR Update Interrupted

The connection is interrupted. I do not see any signs of Windows interrupting the connection. DVACARS spits out a message in red font that says
The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send

acars.log:
12/12/2017 17:22:45.171 DEBUG Downloading SID/STAR archive
12/12/2017 17:22:45.984 INFO The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.
12/12/2017 17:23:01.187 INFO frmMain Closed

I already have filed a help desk issue but was suspected it was not the fault of DVACARS. So I making a public post here to see if anyone else figured it out what the issue could be. Someone who has experienced the issue before and successfully resolved it. Everything else in DVACARS works fine.

This error has a side effect that more or less if any procedure arrivals and departures are not updated, on the client side, the System will append a comment in a flight report for example "Comments: SYSTEM: Filed STAR was null, actual was GLAVN1.MGRIF.RW26R". Also, if the client cannot update to the new cycle any new procedure will not be available and will be forced to select no procedure, leaving it blank. Since I am unable yet to update SID/STARS because of the interruption it will happen. What I try to do is put the full plan with arrival/departure and associated transition waypoints.

I am working with Windows XP SP3 Yes it is out dated but still functional. Since it's a client side issue I need help tracking the issue down. I am totally lost on it.

Thanks.

That's the problem then - I'll need to see if there's a cipher suite that IE8 on XP will support. You really should consider Windows 7.

Cheers!

Right now I just cannot afford a new computer. Trying to wing it as long as I can. Finances say no. Rent bills ugghhhh. It's a wonderful life. I hope there is a cipher suite for IE8. Thanks Luke!

I've managed to (I think) restore IE8/XP support to our SSL configuration - for now. I will probably deprecate it and eliminate support for XP around January 2019.

Cheers!
