OK... this one will take some time...

I am attempting to complete the Panda Club Achievement. One of the airports is Kunming China (KMG). Easy enough... Problem is there is an old Airport (Kunming Wujiaba) and new airport (Kunming Changshui). They were both designated as ZPPP/KMG at one time. I did not know this fact until I tried to start my flight. I was using downloaded addon scenery for ZPPP. I setup my flight... PFPX was good, Aivlasoft EFB was good, DVA ACARS was good... until I pushed "Start Flight" on ACARS. I was told I was 13nm away from the airport and could not start my flight. That is when my research uncovered the 2 airports and that they were about 13 miles apart.

So I uninstalled the Addon scenery thinking it was located improperly... by then FSX could not find ZPPP. I had to select ZPPX in FSX to pull up the correct airport (ZPPX doesn't exist in real life). So right now I am flying from ZPPX to fulfill the requirement for KMG.

For some reason ACARS has the SID/STARS for the New ZPPP/KMG... but the location info for the "old ZPPP". Not sure if anything about this can be fixed... but it will be difficult for others to join the Panda Club without this info.

Hi,

Happened to me also somewhere in 2014 with one of those "moving" Chinese airports. I found out on approach, looking at just scenery and no airport.
Both the DVA flight planner and the PMDG airac pointed to the new location.

I kinda "edited/cheated" my way out of it and redid the flight... razz
I edited the airport coordinates in the airports.xml to reflect the old location.
It's located in your Users\...\Application Data\Delta Virtual\ACARS folder along with all the SID/STAR files.

And there's a thread in the cooler for missing/moved airports.
