I have a question about historic flights-do they have to be flown with the respective liveries or can delta liveries be used? Also are relevant period a/c flown or can it be any? Thanks

You are welcome to use any livery you choose (although we are partial to Delta ones) smile You can use any aircraft you are rated for so long as it can make the trip with legal fuel reserves. See your pilot profile for a list of equipment you are eligible to use. See the Pilot Center Aircraft Profiles section for the range of the aircraft in our fleet.

Here's a secret Harvey. We have no way (that I'm aware of anyway) of knowing which livery you are flying. ACARS will record the type & model, ie. 737-700 vs 737-800, 757-200 vs 757-300, etc.
Now and then I'll fly a 'competitive' livery just for a change of pace.

Here is another secret I'll share from DVA Operations....we DO know what livery you're flying.... plotting I'm watching you Simmons! biggrin

I'm kidding. Enjoy whatever livery you like but our preference is obviously Delta and codeshares. I like to mix it up when I'm flying and historical airline flights. I sometimes also fly online as NW2887. cool If I happen to fly a low and slow propliner VFR, I might use N2887DL as my call sign.
