I think I saw a post somewhere about this issue but I cannot find it. When switching from "Cockpit view" to "Spot view" the aircraft will occasionally jump off of the ground a couple of feet. This occurs when sitting still or when taxing. This causes FS Passengers to detect a crash or severe turbulence. ruining the flight. Sometimes the aircraft tires will appear to be sunk half way into the concrete as well. This always happens on the same aircraft and never on others. I seem to remember the fix for this requires some complicated file changes. Any suggestions?

Is it a certain plane that this is happening with or all of them? I ran into this issue a few weeks ago after a fresh install of FSX:SE on a brand new HDD and after searching around on google for a few minutes I found a post that suggested slightly lowering the mesh resolution in the FSX settings which fixed it for me.

static_cg_height in contact points section need adjusted i do not know the right values for that add-on because I do not know which add-on you're speaking of.

HEre is a "global value" that may or may not work. In your aircraft.cfg look for [Contact Points] then use this value:
static_cg_height=5.150

It will already have a number just change the number to what I posted to look similar to what I posted. Save and close aircraft.cfg

Run a test. Post your findings

P.S. Sounds like a POSKY plane

Thank you for your replies. I tried lowering the mesh resolution as suggested but that did not help. I tried to change the aircraft.cfg file as suggested but when I try to save the change I get a "access denied" error message (the file is opening with Notepad) and will not allow me to save the change. This issue only occurs when using the DVA fleet DeHavilland DHC-8 and a Dreamwings DeHavilland DCH 8 Q100. I am using FS9- Windows 8.

It not so common mesh is the reason for your aircraft jumping on view changes or "bunny hop". Mesh are just elevations in terrain in FS9/FSX/P3D ( I too fly FS9 because FSNAV and other paid for add-ons)). Proper contact points in your aircraft,cfg is NEARLY ALWAYS the factor. There are few instances that mesh may be a concern for some sort of glitches in each version of MSFS. That's a given. Your error saving is merely a windows 8 permission issue I am unable to help with because I do not have Windows 8. banghead

I suggest contacting Luke Kolin or anyone else who knows the scoop on this.
