When loading FSX Steam, I get the following message "SCENERY.CFG File errot. Invalid remote scenery path in scenery area 120. Click OK to continue". FSX is working fine and this message appeared after I downloaded some scenery. Any ideas how to repair or delete the file?

Area 120 for FSX is add on scenery folder if I remember correctly. Sounds like something may have gone wrong during the installation of the new scenery. Make sure in your addon scenery folder has a scenery and a texture folder in it. If it doesn't create those folders.

I had this happen but can't recall if it was the same folder or not. i had to reinstall the sim to clean it up. Once you get FSX up and running perfect, make a copy of the FSX folder onto a backup drive or something so you have the files handy for reference. I do this and also copy my aircraft folders if I choose to uninstall a payware. I don't want to lose my tweaks or aircraft.cfg preferences.

Seconded. When I was still using FSX, any time I had to do a reformat for whatever reason (cleaning up my machine, building a new one, etc) one of the first things I did was install FSX, get my most important addons installed, and then backed it up. As quirky as FSX is, it saved me more times than I care to remember!

David... You should downlaod the program: https://sourceforge.net/projects/fs-sceditor/ . I use it and I love it. Great program to show all your sceneries and the ones you want to use and don`t want to use for your flights.
