It was my understanding that the flight schedule DVA uses was updated daily to correspond to the real schedule used by Delta (according to the manual). I was looking for this flight, KSLC-PANC operated by DL2511. According to Flightaware, it is flown daily except Mondays. But I cannot find in the schedule, the only one being a historic flight operated by the MD-11.

Hey Marius,
The schedule is out of date because Delta constantly changes it (1st August 2018 to Saturday, 15th September 2018 is the current cycle https://www.delta.com/content/dam/delta-www/pdfs/flight_schedules.pdf) Whenever I am flying a real world route the flight numbers have never matched those in the schedule. This is a simple detail you will have to overlook.

Thanks. I did look in the schedules you provided, and the SLC flight is in those schedules from 8/4.
When I did try to search for this flight, I got this message:

FLIGHT SCHEDULE SEARCH RESULTS - IMPORTED ON 08/04/2018 11:01 CET REPLAY OF 02/22/2015

Does that mean it's looking at flights from 2015?

I don't know when the last schedule update was, however if you said it was from 2015 that is more than likely correct. All you can do is fly the flights in the schedule. The flight number is irrelevant as I said because the database is from 2015. I have never encountered a situation where a real world route is not in the database (either DVA, DVH or another historical airline will have flown that route).

I see. Well, thanks anyway. Would it be possible to schedule DVH flight using the 738?

Yes!! You can use any plane you are qualified to fly. At the bottom of the page (flight schedule page) you can set the equipment, which is changing the plane you want to fly. You can also do this in the ACARs before flight.
