NW and Delta flew there for about 12 years after WW2 with propliners, eventually moving nearby to a bigger airport.

I found some cool flights and will be adding them tomorrow at some point.

MDW is a pretty good guess given the runway orientation. You're in the right region.

Its actually YIP, Willow Grove airport. Delta and NW flew there before DTW got expanded. They built B-24's there and today it is the home of a few charter airlines like Kalitta and another. I will add the flights before too long.

The runway orientation got me. But after looking at some historical photos I figured it was the wrong one. Good info. Thanks.

The good thing is that they're DC-4 and B377 flights. You'll feel right at home flying the old props into that airport.

The airport exists in FSX/P3D and the X-Plane. The only issue with the FSX would be that it contains old runway that doesn't exist in the RW anymore. I do not know whether that'll create an issue with pilots landing on a runway that doesn't exist in the RW.

Cool! Here's a short history link. In addition to building "a bomber ab hour, Willow had one of the first "paved" runways I think around 1929 or so.

I took the 2004 AFCAD and updated runways in FSX using current airport diagram. Just waiting for the flight schedule.
