What are the odds of adding the Sukhoi Superjet 100? Aeroflot flies them. I found freeware for FSX-SP2 or Acc & FSX Steam & P3Dv1 P3Dv2 P3Dv3 P3Dv4: https://www.rikoooo.com/downloads/viewdownload/927

Delta Air Lines would have to fly it to be part of our fleet.

I apologize, but how does that make sense? We just got the Tu-154 added to the fleet. There is precedent that aircraft are added because they are flown by a Skyteam member.

TU-154: https://www.deltava.org/thread.do?id=0x22479

Delta doesn't fly the 787, but it's in the fleet. There are many aircraft in the fleet that Delta has not or does not fly. I am not suggesting it be added as a primary aircraft, but surely it's addition is in line with previous additions.

I think and agree with Terry that Delta Airlines or a code share has to fly it for it to be in our fleet of aircraft.

Delta doesn’t fly the 787 and we definitely don’t have it in the DVA Fleet library. However Air France has the 787 and before we split from Air France virtual, it was in their library. So hypothetically yes we can fly the 787 if we are rated for it of course. I know I’ve flown the 787 with Delta livery in sim because I personally wanted to see RW Delta airlines acquire the 787. But I agree with their business decision to not too. But in the virtual world for me personally it doesn’t bother me if I fly it or other pilots in our airline fly it.

So in retrospect, does a codeshare airline that is in RW Delta airlines codeshare fly the superjet100? I’d be curious to see.

I accept your answer regarding the 787, but what about the newly added TU-154? Aeroflot a Delta codeshare and Skyteam member flies the Sukhoi Superjet 100, so it should be acceptable, no? We have Aeroflot flights in our database. I don't want to start a fight, it's the last thing I want. This just doesn't make any sense to me because of things added previously.

Michael,

No worries. I know you’re not wanting to start a useless argument and an argument won’t get anywhere. smile
I recommend this, can you provide some sort of proof that a Aeroflot or a code share indeed flies this? It’s not my call but the senior staff above myself will have the ultimate decision on implementing this.

This would be something they will have to investigate further and make the ultimate decision to implement this SuperJet aircraft into our fleet. wink

Here are some links to the Sukhoi Superjet 100 and it's service with Aeroflot:

http://www.rusaviainsider.com/aeroflot-superjet-grows-50-aircraft/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeroflot#Current
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Sukhoi_Superjet_100_orders_and_deliveries
https://airwaysmag.com/industry/aeroflot-orders-100-sukhoi-superjets-valued-at-3-5-billion/

There are many other pages talking about Aeroflot and the Sukhoi Superjet 100. I made a point to not link any that are specifically about any recent crashes and/or incidents, as to not be insensitive to those that may have lost their lives.

At the top of the page I linked an image of a Sukhoi Superjet 100 in service with Aeroflot.

One of the things I hear that DVA looks at to add an aircraft to the fleet is did it fly for an airline that was bought by Delta, or merged into another company that Delta ended up buying or absorbing. Does that make sense? I will say that the few virtual airlines I've flown for before DVA we had a limited number of planes in the fleet. DVA at least has quite a large size fleet we can pick from, one of the many things I like about DVA.

I get what you are saying. The entire reason that I even brought it up was because we recently added the TU-154 which as far as I know Delta or any of it's subsidiaries did not fly. It was flown by Czech Airlines and many other Russian Airlines as stated in this post: https://www.deltava.org/thread.do?id=0x22479
