got new system hooked up i can fly using acars but i cant get on vatsim or download real world weather but i am using fs9 no cd with windows 10

fs9 and fsx real world weather links do not work anymore. You'll need an external program like active sky. There may be a freeware program as well if you do a search.

there is one program for fs9 but i can't remember what it was. do a search on avsim. as per activsky for fs9, it is no longer supported and defaults to the weather on the day the servers shut down. i learned this the hard way.

I use FSrealWX , it’s not perfect but gets ya what you need. It can produce sporadic weather changes at inoportune times, but I may not have mine set up correctly.

You can always take a taf or current metal and build the weather manually in the weather section of FS main menu.
