So I've noticed that not all the flight schedules in the database are accurate. I've been using flightaware and flightstats to check for flights. How often is the schedule updated?

Josh,

So our schedules are not as up to date as reflected in the real world. This is due to an issue where we would get our schedules from started charging more money for the schedule data. (Correct me if I am wrong or misinformed)

We do however have over 21,000 flights that you may fly if you wish provided your aircraft that you are flying can safely make the trip and that you are rated for the said aircraft.

Ok, thats what I thought, I'm staff at another VA and we have the same issue. We purchase our from Virtual Airline Schedule. www.virtualairlineschedules.net is this the same source you guys use?

I looked at that website just now. Not sure if it is automated and will make it easier on our senior staff dealing with the schedules or what, but definitely worth looking into. Would be more than willing to donate the money for the program if it would help. Maybe something to look into.

We used to get an automated schedule update from the 3rd party, but we stopped using it since they asked us to pay up at a much higher price than we could afford.

As of right now, we depend on members to let us know if we have any missing schedules. The operation staff is trying to look for any lack of schedule, but it always appears as the members find it easier than us smile

If you find a route that doesn't exist in our schedule, please submit it via Help Desk and one of the operation staffs will add it. Thank you!

I'll keep my ear to the ground for anything cheap/free that may seem like a good source to pull from. I like programming interface like that. Might be a fun project.

Looks like Delta actually publishes a schedule routinely. It appears to be for public consumption. I wonder how hard it'd be to write a parser to digest all of the data.

It would be great if we could get an up to date schedule, alot of new aircraft thoughout the VA and new routes too. I love flying the current routes (2019) and numbers, I frequently use flight aware to do this but it would be a great bonus to have it on acars. I know cost is a major factor, Alphia India AI traffic is making flight plans for Delta Summer 2019, and they have done summer 2018 and 2017 before this, curious as to were they get their data. smile
