I foolishly, despite all the negative forum comments on other forums, purchased a Logitech X-56 HOTAS. Wisely I bought it from the Micro Center in Marietta Ga. I am returning my third one. It continuously in puts commands on its own. While taxing, take off and in flights it randomly puts the gear down, flaps extend fully, spoilers to max, changes the view to outside while turning off the autopilot. I stopped everything but the outside view/auto pilot by removing the commands. Except that later it started to change the nav display at random and turn the interior lights off, something I had not programed. Despite calibrating numerous times you can set the throttle and watch it move the Ng 3 to 5 %. I am now returning my third set. I have done everything Logitech says to do tried it on two different computers and let my son use it on his computer while playing "Star Citizen" (?). Same result. Am i wasting my time trying to get a working one? Does anyone that doesn't make you tube videos have one they like?

What was your response you emailed, Andrew? I happen to have the same X-56 and I have not actually had any issues with it. I've had it for well over a year now. I do find the build is a little...sloppy...for lack of a better word. There is definitely play in the joystick part that wasn't there when I first bought it. No amount of adjusting and tightening things up has fixed it.

I'm slowly wondering if I should have just sprung extra money for a Warthog.

The mechanical sloppiness aside, mine isn't inputting random commands or doing anything of that. I wonder if maybe there are conflicting settings with another input device?
