Is there an advantage in flying full screen? I have FSX and it seems that my computer likes to freeze when flying in windowed mode. Someone told me to fly full screen. Any help on this. Any way to keep computer from freezing without spending tons on new computer. Thanks

The freeze does it occur when using DVA Acars? It does happen to me.

It does happen you have this check:

Try to uncheck it and see if stops. Then you probably have your antivirus in some how messing with it.

Turning off autosave doesn't change the fundamental issue, and makes it impossible to restore a flight if your simulator crashes. If you're getting pauses with the PMDG, ensure that your simulator directories and your My Documents folder are excluded from your anti-virus.

Thanks Luke to clarify, I didn`t setup the ACARS into the excluded folder into the anti-virus. Sorry JIM, for my bad interpretation of your issue.

I used to have a lot of different ACARS problems and went back to ver 2.2. Since then the problems went away and ACARS is stable

I have been using the Process Lasso Utility and it does a great job on minimizing OOM issue. Have not seen FSX (or P3D) freeze yet!
