Hey all,

So I have a question for anyone that uses AMD cpu processors. I current run AMD FX8370E cpu coupled with an over clock speed of 3800 MHz. I’m looking to update to this CPU and anyone that uses this I could use some advice is this better than my current CPU? I am utilizing AMDRX590 GPU.

I run P3Dv4.5 hf3 with the usual addons, gsx (updated recently) PACX, pmdg, NGXu 747,777,DC6 along with Aerosoft Airbus profession (320-330)

Addon scenery every flightbeam scenery, imagine KATL, pacsim KSLC,KRNO, FSDT scenery.

Any input is appreciated.

Oh I’ll have to get a new motherboard too, so that isn’t a problem. Since they are low in $$

Yes. I wouldn't get less than 16GB in a flight sim rig.

Thank you for your input. I’m wondering because the processor still runs ok, I’m wondering if I updated the ram to 16gb from 8gb if it would run a bit better? What are your thoughts? I’m debating on updating now or slowly over time.

Don't waste your money - that takes DDR3. Get the 3600 with 16GB, you're going to more than triple your CPUMark score.

I’d have to get a new motherboard for the AMD ryzen 3600. It’s a lot to do. I’m looking to update slowly overtime as performance has somewhat gotten a bit worse.

So after more research, I’ve decided to go with Ryzen 5 2600 (it’ll boost performance just as well for a cheaper cost) I am looking to get a new motherboard with 16gb of ram and a new power supply. Thank you Thiago and Luke for your input.

Luckily I have $150 birthday money left plus a $25 gift card on Amazon. That coupled with the taxes I’m looking at about $160 or so in the hole for me.
