Hello All,
I had to de-install my FS9 due to slow responses. I have re-installed it, then proceeded to install all my extra a/c. When I got to the Queen of the Skies on attempted installation I had the message that subject aircraft is already installed, even though it has been deleted with the FS9 previously. It says that the installed 747 is a later version (1.20.000) and it has to be deleted. Obviously it is a hidden file that I can't find. Could someone help me please. I am using Windows 8 system.

I believe PMDG is no longer supporting FS9. I believe they have moved on the FSX and P3D, and xplane, and now recently FS2020. I would see if you can contact PMDG support or check out PMDG forums.

Did you uninstall the PMDG 747 by using its uninstaller or simply deleted its folders when you deleted the FS9 folders?

I believe that is the source of the problem, if PMDG products are not uninstalled properly via their own installer it creates a lot of problems and can result in a corrupted install. When you run the QOTs installation do you get an option to Repair? If so you can try to Repair, after repairing you can select the Remove option, and when its fully uninstalled you should be able to do a clean installation.

The CD did not have an uninstall program. When you place it in the drive, there ar only two windows "install B747" and install liveries. Consequently, after uninstalling FS9 I did delete all aircraft with the aid of WINCOM.

What about under the Windows Add/Remove programs? Is there an entry for the PMDG 747?

Like Mah is saying, check if you have an entry under add and remove programs in windows. If so, that should map to an uninstaller program that will take care of removing whatever registry entries, etc., PMDG uses. If you deleted said uninstaller file by mistake, try a registry cleaner program. That may do it.
