Hi all,

Just checking to see if there are any updates for the Flight Academy, as I don't see any options to enroll. Perhaps I need to complete some requirement? or possibly the program(s) are not in operations?

Hey Brian,

Our Flight academy is closed to update new courses for VATSIM ratings. Any previous courses offered are no longer recognized by VATSIM. The flight academy
staff will advise in the water cooler when the new courses are ready.

I would recommend waiting for the announcement in the water cooler. I’m hopeful that it won’t be too long but we will see. The flight academy staff are working hard to get the courses implemented for the new flight academy curriculum and to Vatsim standards.

I’m hopeful that it won’t be too long.

I was curious myself about the Flight Academy and it looks like this was last addressed almost 2 years ago. Have there been any developments since? I do understand that this program requires dedicated people to maintain as well as an expressed interest from enough pilots to justify the time and effort to do so.
