The site will be going down for approximately 60 to 180 minutes tomorrow as we migrate from AWS US-East-1 in Virginia to US-East-2 in Ohio, as well as to an upgraded ARM64 quad-core machine. This should be as simple as snapshotting the data volume and moving it over, but nothing is ever simple. I expect downtime to start around 8AM ET and be over within a few hours.
Apologies for the inconvenience, but we should have a faster server as well as not dealing with the legacy crud that's in US-East-1.

I've noticed that expensive operations are completing quicker. I'll need to look at the NewRelic numbers under load in the late afternoons to see the improvement, or at least the slowest transactions.

Web page loading times for me can reach 10-13 seconds after this migration. Is this isolated? Are there some settings I should attempt to change? I currently use a Firefox browser but the same behavior is present on Edge as well.

I think that's because their free tier only allows a single user account. I'll forward them as I get them.

The load time is now down to 3-4 secs for me. So the ISP had no answers and couldn't find anything anomalous. Thank you for continuing to troubleshoot and check back. It is better!

What's interesting is that there's a 34ms ping to your IP from the server, so it's not a network connectivity issue. I wonder if my reverse DNS is slow.... I don't think I coped the settings for DNS caching from the old server.
