My MD-11 home cockpit. Pretty basic but, when sitting in the chair, your eyesight over the top of the instrument panel screen allows you to just see about 4 inches above the bottom of the main 3-panel outside view. So, leaning forward, like in a real plane, will allow you to see close objects at the bottom of the screen view. Next, I need to mount my overhead keyboard into a framed foamboard cockpit ceiling. A work in progress but adding the foamboard above and around the main monitors will create a better cockpit feel and environment. We'll see!
