Donald,

Our fleet download for aircraft will not work for FS2020. Mostly they work on FSX and FS2004. We have a document in the document library for compatible fleet. Keep in mind this document is being updated. wink

I love FS2020 and have fully moved on from P3D. FlyByWire has a very decent A320neo freeware that gets updated several times a week. My only complaint is the lack of good long haulers. The stock 747 and 787 are good visually but the systems are very basic.

Not sure what you are flying with now but I can just about guarantee you'll get smoother performance and much better visuals than anything else. The Fenix and PMDG birds are great to fly and not terribly expensive, and for the most part, you won't be too worried about addon sceneries or textures or meshes or anything else we used to have to use to get a decent sim.

It doesn't feel as... heavy as P3D in terms of flight mechanics, the control menu is a bit of a pain to get started with, but otherwise it's a great sim thats continuing to evolve.

It took me a long while to adopt MSFS at all. I bought it day one but it fell very short of expectations and I just prefer X-Plane 11 for my IFR flying still. However, I am flying all VFR flights and smaller non tubeliner craft exclusively in MSFS now, and I get better performance on almost max settings in MSFS. I'm planning on upgrading to a new system in March and at that time I think I'm fully jumping over to MSFS and grabbing the P3D 73X and commit. Like most others coming from FSX | P3D | XP11, I've invested a small fortune in add-ons and scenery which is hard to just up and abandon. I am looking forward to seeing X-Plane 12 evolve and hopefully most of my payware is made compatible. I can tell you, flying in MSFS and seeing real clouds is a whole other world compared to our older sims.

Hey Donald,

Aside from concerns of losing years of costly SIM Addons, is your computer somewhat updated in the last 3 years? I only ask because if you mainly fly FSX you wouldn't have any concerns of upgrading for some time now.
