It’s really just a lot of tweaking based on what visuals vs fps you would like and depends upon a lot more of your specs than motherboard and GPU, msfs is still quite CPU bound. I’m currently running a 13700K running p-cores @5.3 and E-cores at 4.2 , 32 gb DDR4 RAM @ 3600, and RTX 4080 and still can’t run everything max at 1440p over 60 fps, big 3rd party airports still drop me into high 40-50 range so I dial in some settings a bit because I value the fluidity of 60+ fps over some small visual sacrifices, but some people prefer the opposite

End of story it’s best to tweak the settings to what you like best

Just curious, what are you cooling your 13700K with? I'm looking at that as my next upgrade from my current 10600K and I heard these 13 gen can get quite toasty frown

I'm using an ASUS ROG Strix LC II 360mm AIO cooler. Definitely gets toasty on stress testing. On Cinebench it will easily hit 90C on all P-Cores and 70C on all E-cores, no throttling or issues though. Under realistic loads like MSFS 2020 and other CPU intense games it averages in the order of 55-60C with some spikes into the low 70's which is quite acceptable.

Greg, I use MSFS and have an ibuypower as well with an RTX 2080. I use the setting recommended by the Nvidia GeForce experience app. Recently I also noticed disabling the rolling cache improved performance significantly.
