I am in the process of updating our schedule database with a number of L-1011 flights graciously provided by our Chief Pilot, Larry Hart. I've seen a real resurgence of L-1011 flights in the past few weeks, and I think it only makes sense to encourage our TriStar pilots with an expanded schedule.

Cheers!

Luke

I have added a few extra flights, and modified some of our existing ones.

Flights 8000/8001, the Los Angeles/Kahului runs, have been extended to DFW. Flights 8006/8007 have been added, from Atlanta to Manchester. Flights 8008/8009 might be of interest, as they go from Atlanta to Stuttgart Germany, with a follow-on to Budapest Hungary, a new destination for DVA. We also have flights 8030/8031, which go from Salt Lake City to New York LaGuardia, with a stop in Cincinnati. The L-1011 is the heaviest aircraft you'll see flying out of LGA, and those short runways of paved-over New York City garbage should be a challenge to our experienced TriStar pilots. (On average, L-1011 pilots are the most experienced of all of our pilots, averaging over 150 flights each.)

Stage 4 pilots may also be interested in flights 8020 and 8021, which use Delta's 747-100 in a run from DFW to JFK, to LGW. This is the only flight that DVA flies from Kennedy to Gatwick.

Cheers!

Luke

Thanks Luke, alot of us have been waiting for this moment, I have had some correspondence recently with pilots about getting more flights for our bird. Now it looks like reality. We all thanks you.

One thing on my mind....is there any chance we could get a flight to and from Tahiti. It's a perfect flight for the L-1011, with a distance comparable with New York to Paris, but over the Pacific instead of the Atlantic. I would like to see more Pacific flights. This flight could also dep and arr from Honolulu as well. What do you think? The L-1011 is already being used by some airlines as a charter vacation service flyer.

Luke, what will be required to make the run in the 747-100, will a rating in any stage 4 aircraft suffice, or will there be an additional rating added?

First off, Luke thank you! I don't fly the L-1011 as much as I should but I will start doing so now. Larry, what L-1011 panel do you use? I have a nice sound package and model, but my panel is very weak.

Thanks In Advance,
Matt

Great job Luke. I hoist my glass to you. I agree with Larry. A few or more specific Pacific flights would be great. Sidney, Fijii, Tokyo to name several, yup. PHNL makes a great stopover point. If we get some Pacific Rim flights, we'd be able to fly from the P. Rim to Europe (with another stopover point if necessary.) If you want some assistance with further L1011 flights, I'm at your service. Would be happy to help.
