It's been 3 years since I was an active member. I am back and have a question. I have searched the forums and couldn't find the info that I am looking for. Is there a way to import SimBrief data into the ACARS program for flight plan info, fuel load, etc.

you need to use the dispatch feature, and connect to simbrief, then it will. Click dispatch if it prompts in acars, or from the log book click the flight and at bottom it says dispatch...

Also if you haven't used the dispatch button but generated a package from SimBrief you can use it to populate at least the route and altitude (I think?) if you save the flight plan and then load it. What I do if I make packet separately is Connect, Load Draft Flight Reports (populates to/from, flight number, etc) and then Load from Flight Plan, this gets everything in except weight and balance (which I do separately from ACARS anyway because that's my workflow).

But it doesn't do anything with SimBrief. I don't know how it can because there is no place that I can add my simBrief username. I am planning a flight now and I have to manually create the flight in SimBrief, generate the flight and then import it to my other apps. I was hoping ACARS would do that for me.

ACARS can do this, but the help you've been given thus far has been a little confusing and inaccurate. I thought there was a stick somewhere, but I cannot find it.

First, edit your pilot profile in the web site and add your Navigraph user name. Otherwise we don't know that you use SimBrief and won't enable the integration.
Second, create a draft flight, either from the Find a Flight page or the Route Plotter.
Third (and optionally), plot the flight route via the route plotter if you just want SimBrief to do fuel calculations.
Fourth, go to the draft Flight Report, and select your airframe and ETOPS rules and generate a SimBrief dispatch package.

There you go.

To enable this in ACARS, load the Draft Flight Reports and select the flight. You should load the route and fuel calculations that SimBrief has generated, and you can optionally save the flight plan as well.
(In Build 185 Beta 14+, if you're using ASP3D ACARS will automatically import the flight plan into ActiveSky).

It does not appear that you have generated the dispatch package from the Flight Report. You need to do it from the Flight Report, not on the SimBrief site.

I haven't done anything with SimBrief other than look at the page to see if the flight was added. I click Load Flight and then Dispatch on the ACARS app.

Please read my instructions again, specifically item #4. You need to do this from the web site. Clicking the Dispatch button on the ACARS app is not part of this flow.

Sorry I didn't know if this was on the site or that app. It wasn't clear in the instructions. That seemed to work. I will try a flight when I am done with another flight I am doing now.
