If I use an aircraft that isn't listed in deltava, then my fight won't be approved? Case in point: If I use a dc9 from a download, my flight won't be approoved? Delta va doesn't have dc9 for my format. I s this what this means?

i believe it means when you go to your pilot lounge, it shows all aircraft you are approved to fly. Thats it. If its not on your list, you can not fly and turn in on your log. you can get extra ratings to fly whatever you want. as long as it is an airplane that Delta uses. When you sign in on Acars, the aircraft you
are rated to fly will be, at least on mine, in bold black letters or numbers.

Darrell is correct. You can fly any plane addon (PMDG, Freeware, DVA, CS, etc.) in any of the supported flight simulators, AS LONG as you are rated to fly that aircraft at DVA. Check the list that is in your pilot center of all the aircraft you are rated to fly. Scroll to the bottom of the pilot center to see additional ratings, program switches, tests you can take to do more.

i THOUGHT THIS WAS ALREADY UNDERSTOOD. PLUS ACARS WON'T LET YOU FLY AN AIRCRFT UNLESS YOU ARE RATED. OK IT IS STILL THE SAME AS I UNDERSTOOD IT BEFORE. I THOUGHT THE AIRCRAFT HAD TO BE WHAT IN THE FLEET ON DVA.
tHANKS FOR THE CLARIFICATION.

Ralph,

You can use any "like aircraft addon", wherever you find it. Whether you download one from a site like AVSIM or buy a payware aircraft. As long as you have the rating to fly it.

I'm just as confused as Ralph is. Was there a change from what I had read in the Pilot's manual?

as Ken said, if your rated for say a 767200 or 300 you can fly those , or I believe their is a 767-300RF made for hauling freight. You can fly one of those too, in this event. In the drop down put 767-300 in the comments put you were actually flying a 767-300RF If I am wrong about this, someone can correct me.
