DVA Operations, in combination with DVA Events, is excited to announce the merger of the Events/Tours and Dispatch programs, effective immediately, under the leadership of Daniel Wilbanks, Director of Events/Dispatch. This exciting change will open up many possibilities to enhance all three programs and integrate Dispatch services directly into Events/Tours. Additionally, this will allow improvements to the current Dispatch program, bringing a greatly enhanced and more realistic experience to both pilots and dispatchers, yet another way that DVA will stand out from the crowd as the best virtual airline in the world for our members.
Both the Operations and Events teams are excited about this change and the possibilities it will unlock. DVA is known by over 700 active members to be the best virtual airline community around, and one of only a few that allow the pilots to tailor their own experience to the level of realism that they desire. We look forward to bringing a new level of realism and an experience tailored to each individual pilot and flight and can’t wait for you to join us.
If you don’t already utilize DVA Dispatch service, you can do so by clicking the “Dispatch” button in ACARS after filling out your departure and destination. If dispatchers are online, you will see their name highlighted in green on the list of connected pilots, and if none are available you can still use DVA’s automated dispatch system using the same process. If you prefer a SimBrief flight release, you can use DVA’s in-house SimBrief integration through the pilot center, or even copy the route you get from Dispatch directly into SimBrief to generate your release.
