As I begin to research the thought of building a "REAL" home simulator by investing thousands of dollars, it appears that a required peice of software to integrate hardware to planes like the PMDG products, is Spad.next. Are there any other software titles I should begin learning about?

I know some product lines of hardware come with proprietary software for their integration with MSFS.

Also, as I am a real world private pilot, part of this project will be to have an FAA AATD aproved simulator for GA aircraft to keep my Instrument rating currency.

Links and suggestions are very welcomed.

Hey David,

Can’t believe I haven’t seen this until now. I just got into getting peripherals for flight sim. I recently got the Minifcu (we partnered with them btw and can get a nice discount) to get it to work I have to use mobiflight. But it works flawlessly

David;
There are many options out there. But I would do more researches on it. For an example, for the right software sim to use. If you really want more aircrafts handling and not much on scenery, I would go with Xplane. Some example: https://www.simvim.com Almost all Home simulator I`ve been seen it, They were using Xplane. I sincerely don`t have SPAD.NEXT and make sure to have a High End PC for Pit sim. ohhh! one thing you must have for your Real Pit sim, Buttkicker. Immerse your sim with. I have it and works great. https://thebuttkicker.com/products/buttkicker-mini-concert-haptic-transducer
I`m mean, the research is wise.
I`m sure there are many in here, who go above and beyond for some advises.
