I was debating on whether or not I should get a new computer so when my community folder was wiped I figured it was gods way of saying "go ahead...get that new computer"! So I did wink This is the best I could afford right now.

Well after a long siesta I"m back! My brand new computer got the dreaded BSOD (Blue Screen of Death)! I thought it was my fault because of the hurricane but turns out its a common thing and took me 15 minutes to fix with the help of CyberPower! Got me back on track and lovin every minute of it!!

I messed up an upgrade from an i5 8600k to an i9 9900k I found for cheap back in December as a stopgap before doing a mostly new build (Rushed and bent some pins in the socket). Went from an i5 8600k and decided to try AMD because I've heard their newer generations are better for straight gaming than the most recent Intel and aren't as prone to overheating issues. Treating myself going from a 6+ year-old build with the i5 8600k and 1050 ti (Later upgraded to a 2060 Super in the height of the Crypto scarcity) to a Ryzen 7 9800x3d and 4070 Super (Which I managed to find right before the 5080/5090 launch fiasco). Have to say I'm loving the AMD so far and have some more time now to try something newer than XP11!

That is great Paul. I still use xp 11 for my 350-900, Not a big fan of xp12. You will love the added scenery when you get msfs 2020/2024f or your smaller aircraft. I am using the RTX 4090 and very happy with it.. I have all four sims loaded on here, because I havent seen any aircraft on the new sims that equal to what i paid for on xp11 The scenery for low level flying on msfs2020 is amazing. 2024 in my opinion is not that great. I think they built it for x-box users. Enjoy your new equipment

That's good to know about MSFS 2020 vs 2024 and also XP12 (seems for XP, best to just stay on 11). I'm looking at trying one of them, but want to see if some of the launch kinks get worked out of 2024 first. Really kicking myself for not getting the IniBuilds A300 before they killed their XP side.

I've had several amd computers and have had no trouble with them. i've had two computers to literally blow up in my face and one that stupid me poured accidentally water down the brand new computer that I paid 1200 dollars for. in t he blink of the eye it went sizzle sizzle. but the amd's have really been good. have a blessed day.
