Bought myself a little Christmas gift...The WinWing Airbus panel combo. This thing is full size! Not flown with it yet, just tested all the controls in X-Plane and everything worked with no configuration except giving the software the XP install path.

What a great investment! I have the minicockpit autopilot thing and now all i pretty much fly are the busses so i can use it. Love the airbus label for the bravo switches too. i need to get one of those and make more use of them.

More importantly, i have to say that flight sim hardware actually improves the quality of our piloting skills.

My wife actually approved me spending over $600 on a helicopter cyclic. Going from trying to fly helicopters with a yoke to a cyclic, my skills have dramatically increased (but still a lot to learn).

too add to this, you'll next likely start looking for other hardware panels to make your life easier. I ended up getting an overhead mini panel off ebay and programmed it for my lights/APU/seat belt signs using the mobi-flight free software.

Very cool - I have the miniCockpit version and it's great but obviously "mini". Definitely makes flying the Bus more fun!

Oh, one more airbus related upgrade I got from Etsy for my Honeycomb Bravo:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/1820821719/a320-pro-v3-throttle-detent-set-for?click_key=8f989302e0229d853f2e41420d190c25e6027fb1%3A1820821719&click_sum=b20c7e93&ref=shop_home_feat_2&bes=1

Will give you the airbus levers (you modify the default ones your bravo came with) and also adds the gates like the real thing. XP12 Toliss requires calibration using the ISCS panel but they're wonderful and easy to disconnect for other aircraft types.

Those look really nice Andrew. I'd love to have all the panels but I'm running out of space! WinWing is doing the MCDU and CDU panels next. I just use my tablet on the desk for that now.

Now I just have to get through this thing called "work" today so I play with the new panel tonight!
