I thought I might entertain myself with some of the tour accomplishments and need a smallish prop for some destinations. I noticed that this plane exists, is it allowable as a variant of the EMB120? It's pretty inexpensive but still didn't want to buy it and find out it wasn't usable for the purpose.

Do you mean the EMB 110, I don't think the 121 is one of the ratings? If so, yes you get that once you have the EMB 120 rating I believe. It is a decent aircraft and gets the job done for those short hops. I would also take a look at the CRJ700, BAE146, DC6 or 737-600 they are able to get in and out of the shorter runways but are also able to give you some additional distance.

Nope, I meant the 121, however thanks for pointing out the 110, turns out I have that rating as well, and there is a plane available, debatable how good it is, but oh well smile This is the 121:

As you can see, also inexpensive, but it's in the same ball park as the 110.

I do have the 110 and like I said, it is a pretty good plane. I have not flown it in quite a while though. If you get it make sure to get it from other than the Marketplace. There are some really good mods on flightsim.to for it but some do not work if it was a marketplace purchase.

Maybe late in the party. But just to agree with Jeremy. The E121 isn't a valid substitution, because it isn't listed as an available rating.

You can ONLY substitute for an aircraft rating that you are rated AND is available in DVA. So, it first needs to be listed on DVA Available ratings and second you need to attain that rating for a flight be considered as valid.

In that sense the E110 is a valid substitution, as many other small propliners we have.

Enjoy
