I'm working on the Gulf Breeze Club and I came across a flight to KPFN. It clearly states that this airport is discontinued in the accomplishment eligibility list. Since it closed in 2010 I'm curious how we go about flying this?

Hi Phillip,

There are 30 airports listed, but you only need to fly to 29 of them.

You have two options:
– Skip KPFN and fly to KECP; or
– Fly to KPFN after installing a custom scenery, and skip KECP or another airport of your choice.

It’s true that KPFN was officially closed in 2010 and replaced by KECP. However, KPFN remains on the list because many pilots still use FSX and FS9. Keep in mind that KECP isn’t included in the default database of those sims, and not all users are comfortable installing custom sceneries or updating airport data.

This approach allows both users of newer and older sims to complete the award by selecting the airport that best suits their setup.

Regards,
Bruno
