Dear Fellow DVA Staff and Pilots,
On Sept. 11, 2001, the world mourned at the lose of those souls in the World Trade Center buildings and at the Pentagon. Today those souls are still mourned but as a way for us to show our patriotism and our pride for the men and women lost, Delta VA will be holding a 9/11 memorial flight. I will release details in the next few days regarding what we will hold. At the moment though, I can tell you that we have taken a HUGE step in that we will not only be holding our groupflight, but we will be holding the first ever CO-OP Virtual Airline Groupflight on VATSIM.net. I am currently in talks with other major Virtual Airlines who will most likely join us as ONE VA for this memorial. The CO-OP Groupflight will be headed by Delta VA and American VA.
I took this step because I felt that what a great way for everyone to show how we feel about Sept. 11th. WE ARE UNITED, and NO ONE CAN TAKE THAT AWAY FROM US. And that will serve as the theme for this memorial and groupflight.
Again, specific details will be released as soon as possible. The date which we are looking at is Sept. 13th in the morning. This will be 2 days after the 11th representing 2 years since the attacks. I look forward to this memorial and ask that everyone be involved.
