Let's say it is 2am and I got an urge to fly. But at this time in the US on VATSIM the only ATC's open are KLAX and KLAS and there are no DVA flight between these. Two possibilties:

1- I fly it anyway and report it by e-mail to my DVA superior. He might approve it and it might even count toward my promotion(...)

2- I choose an existing DVA flight of my choice fly it offline and PIREP it.

So, 1 or 2 or both?

Choose 2. Even if you email report it to your Chief Pilot its their responsibility to check and be sure its an actual Delta or Delta codeshare flight. If its not, it supposed to be rejected.
