If you want a sneak peak at the new Online Flying Manual, take a peek here:

http://www.deltava.org/ofm_sb3.pdf

This is being updated to remove all references to SB2/SBRelay/AVC and just include Squawkbox3. You will also see a few SB3 screenshots. Sorry about the low-res graphics, done to keep the filesize low.

Cheers!

Is the release of SB 3 imminent?

I wonder when the official launch for SB3 would be.

The other problem is about a new pilot client of IVAO, IvAp, which will definitely become a standard and replace SB2.3.

According to SB developers, IVAO will not make SB3 compatible with IVAO network.

For those who fly on both network need two different client programs. SB3 for VATSIM and IvAp for IVAO.

Since SB3 has not been released yet there is no choice - I'm afraid we're stuck with SB2 and its add-ons. I claim no special knowledge about the release date beyond what all of you can discover for yourselves at http://www.squawkbox.ca/bugs/ The manual is being updated and previewed because I've been notified that there is no embargo on screenshots.

I can say that there are two big showstopping bugs that have been encountered lately, so release is not imminent.

Cheers!
