Please any help, I have a confusion, tle flights from ORD to CVG wich distance is about 273 nm, are scheduled to be 1.3 h. ( dvc5460, dvc5461,dvc5464, dvc5400) but if those flight are done with CRJ200, you have to put the speed on very very low, as 150 or 160 knts. when you could do it in less time say less than 1:00 h..
So please need some help with my confution.
Tanks.

Fly the aircraft per the operating manuals. Don't worry about getting the times right on the dot. If you make the flight faster, thats great for the passengers. We understand that that speed and weather can affect the flight times. We won't question the times unless they are way off base.

The average gate to gate time for a Delta flight from Birmingham, Alabama to Atlanta, Georgia is 52 minutes. It is 134 miles. I usually make the trip in about 25 minutes, not counting taxi times.

Also, have you considered the fact that Chicago O'Hare is a busy airport? Probably explains the extra time they built into the schedule.

The time listed in the DL schedule is from Gate (cabin door closed - (known as "OUT" time) until the time the aircraft gear touches ground at the destination (known as the "ON" time). Times are as follows:

Out = Cabin Door closed/ or brakes released with some airlines. Delta uses the time when the cabin door is closed.

Off = Rotation and wheels up. ACARS will kick this time or pilots call it in to the Operations.

On = Time aircraft gear touches the ground and rollout.

In = Time at which the aircraft arrives at destination and brake is set.

Maybe that'll help. bit much for what you asked.
