OK, since it's a beautiful day and I don't feel like hanging around picking my nose at the office - I'm going to take the roof off of the car, head home and get some work done on the site.
Joe, I'll convert your textures to DXT3 and update the installer. I'm also going to make a few tweaks to the Water Cooler. I'm also going to make a HUGE change in the way we authenticate on the server.
I have the ability to create what's known as session-based logins to the server, which use a cookie to track your login information. This is a more reliable and secure mechanism for transferring authentication data since it doesn't require your name/password transmitted over the wire every request you make to the server.
Please note that this will involve your browser getting a cookie back from my server. It will only last as long as the session does. It may not get completed today, but it's on the radar screen soon.
On another note, Ross sent me the first Alpha of ACARS. I'll need to fix up the server and we may have something to test by April Fool's Day.
